I was having a hard time getting my clothes together last night because I – believe it or not – had not taken my stuff to the cleaner in almost 2 weeks.  It’s a payday thing for me and Wednesdays are the days when my cleaners has the $1 off dry cleaning for my trousers.

At any rate, I pulled out a random shirt, a pair of khakis, and decided I wanted to wear this new tie I’d gotten from Fashion Stork last month.

Wearing non-coordinating colors is a first for me, but I actually kind of like it.

This week I’ve used the Single-Windsor knot.  It’s more compact than the Double-Windsor and is ideal to wear with a button-down shirt.

Short and sweet this week.

I am still working on the tie and knot primer so everyone can learn to ties these knots.  After a few times of tying them, it becomes old hat.  It’s just a matter then of making the right pairings with your total outfit.
